Caption It! - writercize #173 #AtoZChallenge

What a great start to the A to Z Challenge! Thank you challenge participants for the visits and all the great comments. I am really glad to have the opportunity to share writercize with you and visit your blogs as well.

After a couple of long posts, we'll keep this one short and simple ... and fun. Sometimes when the writing just refuses to come, a photo can wriggle it loose.

While a photo may be worth a thousand words, its caption is considerably shorter. Use humor or journalism to tell us what is happening.
writercize: Write a caption for the following photo.

Have fun with it! Leave your caption as a comment below, and be sure to include your link so that I can come visit you too.

Click "read more" for writercizer sample response. (And while captions are not my forte', particularly humorous ones, it's good to keep on picking at weaknesses, I think!)

writercizer sample response:

In the span of one hour, the entire contents of the fridge and a week's worth of groceries will miraculously reside in these two tiny bellies.

Alt:
Mushrooms. Ketchup. Mushrooms. Ketchup. Let's go with the mushrooms.

(Note: This photo was taken nearly four years ago, just after these two little munchkins turned one and figured out fridge doors. I love catching them in the act "breaking the law." The "oh, no! she caught us!" look is just too fun. I have all sorts of photos that prove big messes and double trouble behavior and they make me smile each time I look at them!)

    1. Haha, that's for sure! My dad was the family cook when I was growing up, but it definitely is not the case in my house now for my kids!

I do have to say, he's learning his way around the grill ....

  9. Pink: "Why is it so cold?"
Yellow: "May be there is a machine in here that keeps it cold"
Pink: "That's silly. I know, this is a gateway to Santa's house. Look, this is where he keeps all the extra food people set out for him."

    1. Ooooh - I love the imaginative twist here. I could totally see myself creating this sort of an explanation when I was a kid. Fabulous.

  14. Sorry, I know I'm a few days late but I just had to comment on this. I had to do a double take because for a second I thought this was a picture of my two at that age :-)
